Let us explain how to draw an i-WAT ticket using an example. Suppose Alice asked Bob to drive her home.

>>1. Alice sends a draw message

Alice follows these steps.

  1. Open a new i-WAT ticket window.
    • Select Bob in the Member List at the main window of wija.
    • From the main window of wija,
      • Go to "File" menu -> "New" -> "i-WAT Ticket" -> "WAT...".
    • Alternatively, from the i-WAT book,
      • Go to "i-WAT Ticket" menu -> "New" -> "WAT..."

  2. Enter the following items on the window.
    [Item]
    • The reason to send the i-WAT ticket to the correspondent.
    [Lender]
    • Select the public key user ID of the lender from the list.
    • If you have selected the peer on the Member List of the main window, it is set automatically.
    [Drawer]
    • The public key user ID of yourself.
    • It has already been set automatically when you open this window.
    [Sum]
    • The amount of debt to be specified in the ticket you are sending.
    [Unit]
    • The unit in which the debt is specified.
    • It has already been set automatically when you open this window, and it is not editable.
    • To use different units, you need to extend i-WAT.
    [Over-Time Rate]
    • Specify how the value will change over time.
    • Clicking on "Edit" button will open the following window.

    [Memo]
    • The message you would like to have circulated with the ticket, such as advertisements for goods or service you can provide.
  3. Click on "Draw" button.
    • A GnuPG passphrase input window appears.

  4. Enter the passphrase.

The drawn ticket is recorded in Alice's i-WAT book.

>>2. Bob sends an accept message

An i-WAT message window appears on the desktop of Bob's computer.

  1. If you are ready to accept the ticket, click on "Accept" button.
    • A GnuPG passphrase input window appears.

  2. Enter the passphrase.

>>3. Alice sends an approve message

An i-WAT message window appears on the desktop of Alice's computer.

  1. If the situation has not changed, and if you are ready for the consequence of issuing a ticket, click on "Approve" button.
    • A GnuPG passphrase input window appears.
  2. Enter the passphrase.

Another i-WAT message window appears on the desktop of Bob's computer.

  1. Click on "Confirm" button.

The i-WAT ticket drawn by Alice becomes usable in Bob's i-WAT book.
