Installation Guide You need to install the folllowing software on your computer before you install wija.
(Actually, wija can work without GnuPG, but then its PGP features will be disabled.)
wija is written in Java programming language, and it requires an execution environment of Java 2 Standard Edition to run1. Java is explained further in the following help page.
wija will become even more useful if you install GnuPG (GNU Privacy Guard)2. It will let you encrypt messages, and digitally sign messages you send to others, including status messages. If you would like to use automated update by downloading software directly from computers of your friends, or intend to use barter currencies with the i-WAT plug-in module, GnuPG is a required software.
GnuPG is based on a cryptographic technology called PGP. GnuPG and PGP are explained further in the following help page.
