4. Set up wija

When you start wija for the first time, some guidances are displayed to make it ready for further use.

  1. Generate your key pair
    • If you do not have your own key pair, a guidance is displayed to generate one.
  2. Import the system's public key
    • If you have not imported the system's public key, it will be imported automatically.
  3. Obtain an account
    • If wija does not have an account information, a guidance is displayed to obtain one.
  4. Set up your photo ID
    • Create a photo ID so that your peers can distinguish you by a picture.
  5. Add your friends to the member list
    • Register your friend as a member if you would like to send messages to or share presence with them.
  6. Add a proxy to the member list
    • wija will let you communicate with your peers directly, when sharing files and so on, after adding a computer with a proxy functionality as a member.
