Starting up of wija is sometimes slow. When starting up from a Terminal or Command Prompt window, it stops for a while after showing the copyright notice before showing the main window.

>> Cause

This problem may happen in case you are using some WWW images in your login status menu items, and when the connectivity with the Internet is bad. wija registers the menu items defined in a preference file at startup, and if a WWW image is used, it causes an access to WWW. Therefore, if the connection to the Internet is bad, waiting until timeout causes a long delay.

>> Solution

Starting wija after completely disconnecting your computer from the Internet will make starting up faster. For example, if you are connecting through a wireless LAN, turn off the wireless LAN function of your computer, and then start wija. You can turn on the function again after the main window of wija appears.
